    Software Engineer - Observability (Early In Career)

We are building world-class tools to help engineers deliver better, faster, and more reliable applications.

    We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Splunk Observability teams. As a software engineer, you will closely collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, and Designers to plan, design and implement modern, delightful, and intuitive features that power Splunk Observability products. You will interact with early-access design partners and other customers to understand their needs and problems. We are obsessed with solving customers’ problems. We move fast and iterate quickly. We have ambitious goals to build best-of-its-kind products. You will help us win in a fast-growing market.

    Responsibilities

    • You will work with designers, Product Managers, and customers to explore and brainstorm new Observability product features.
    • You will participate in end-to-end architecture reviews and discussions with the broader team, playing an influential role in overall product design
    • You will help improve engineering quality, operation excellence and evolution of Splunk Observability’s web applications, web services, and APIs.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Minimum 6 months relevant work experience with a BS; or equivalent practical experience
    • You enjoy collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment.
    • Able to learn new technologies quickly.
    • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
    • The ability to adapt quickly and can solve problems through uncertainty.

    • Exposure to: REST APIs and microservices, CI/CD concepts, Git, Jenkins, Gitlab, AWS, Docker, GCP
